Vikas is the pastoral centre of the diocese. The Bible Apostolate, the Ministry of Family Apostolate, Department for Catechetics, Corporate Educational Agency, the Image Printers and the Catholic Organisations function within the premises of Vikas. The building founded in 1992.

Rev. Fr. Joy Srampikal is the Director of the Department of Catechetics. The Catechetical Department chalks out faith formation programmes for the students, catechism teachers & programme co-ordinators. Regular meetings and seminars are also held.

For effective reach of the Catechetical programmes, the diocese is marked out into three districts - Kottapuram (Dist. I), Thuruthipuram (Dist. II) and Pallipuram (Dist. III). Each district has one Director (Rev. Fr. Antony Kurisinkal, Rev. Fr. Benny Vazhakkoottathil and Rev. Fr. Joseph Maliekal), and also exists 12 promoters of Catechetics. The office duties are handled by Rev. Brothers, who are doing their Regency Course and also by Rev. Sisters from different Congregations. About 13275 students are studying in the 49 catechism centres. Every Sunday we have compulsory catechism classes at least for one and half hour in each unit. And the Department of Catechism is proud of about 710 teachers who are dedicated to teach the catechism.

Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Olattupuram is the Manager of the Collegiate Education and Corporate Educational Agency. One Higher Secondary School, Three High Schools, Four Upper Primary Schools and Sixteen Lower Primary Schools under this agency.

Very Rev. Fr. Johnson Panketh is the Manager of the Press, which is undertaken by Kottapuram Integrated Development Society (KIDS). Here 9 girls are working as trainees and have 3 staff.

Rev. Fr. Joy Srampikal is the Director of the Ministry of Family Apostolate. The Family Apostolate caters to the welfare of families in the diocese, through Seminars for married couples, Pre-marital preparation courses and Counselling.

Pre-marital preparation courses are held from Wednesday to Friday on every second week of every month. The camp begins at 9.00 A.M., Wednesday and finishes at 5.00 P.M., Friday. For registration details, contact the Director.
